In 2007 Reiki Magazine ceased to exist due to declining subscriptions. Financial means were no longer sufficient and publisher Holmmij VOF couldn't pay the printer's invoices any more. The possibilities to make a new start, perhaps together with other parties, were investigated, but they all failed.

In spite of the huge appreciation for its content both Reiki Magazine and Reiki Magazine International could no longer be published and quite some debts remained. People were dismissed, the office was closed and publisher Holmmij VOF was disbanded by December 31, 2007 and that was the end.

One of the activities of Reiki Magazine was organising the yearly Reiki Magazine Festival.
This activity has been taken over by the foundation Cantina del Reiki, working under the name Reiki Koepel. The Reiki Festival 2008 is now organised by a group of volunteers and preparations are well under way. Please take a look at their Dutch website: www.reikifestival.eu.
